SATI Confirms 2025/26 Table Grape Crop Estimate Remains Unchanged
The industry anticipates that volumes inspected for export will increase by approximately 0.6% compared to the actual inspected volumes of the 2024/25 season.
The national crop estimate is maintained at 79.4 million 4.5 kg cartons, with 38.6 million 4.5 kg cartons inspected to date. In some production regions, harvesting commenced slightly earlier than last season due to warmer weather conditions, but this has not altered the overall national outlook, positioning South Africa well to maintain a reliable supply to global markets.
“The season is on track, and South Africa remains well placed to deliver a consistent, high-quality crop that meets global consumer preferences across all markets,” said Mecia Petersen, CEO of SATI.
SATI will continue to monitor the season closely and will communicate any material changes should they arise. At this stage, the industry outlook remains stable, with production and quality expectations aligned with the initial forecast.
