On Thursday 30 May 2024, SATI held its Annual General Meeting virtually. The meeting provided a report on SATI’s activities and finances for the previous financial year.
Guest Speaker: Prof Eugene Cloete, Stellenbosch University
Prof Cloete is the Founding Director: Stellenbosch University Water Institute and a well renowned microbiologist and water expert. He has achieved many accolades throughout his career, including being awarded the National Science and Technology award for research leading to innovation.
Drawing on his vast knowledge of sustainability, economics and geo-politics, Prof Cloete’s presentation focuses on eco-nomic and eco-logical factors, how these are impacting the table grape industry and what certain scenarios could mean on farm level.
