Regions
South Africa boasts five major growing regions. Their differences in soil and climate enable growers to supply the markets with the latest varieties from November to May.
The early season is dominated by varieties from the Northern Provinces and the valleys of the Orange and Olifants River, followed by table grape varieties from the Berg River and Hex River regions. South Africa’s diverse production regions yield a wide range of top-quality grapes of the most sought-after varieties and unmatched flavour.
