The 2024/2025 season posed fewer challenges than the previous year with no major disruptions on farms or at ports.
Throughout the season the crop estimate was maintained at the initial estimate of 76.4 million cartons inspected for export, with a lower limit estimate of 74.1 million cartons and an upper estimate of 78.7 million cartons. On a regional basis, only the Northern Provinces Region did not meet the estimate, achieving about 82% of the anticipated volume. All other regions met or exceeded their crop estimates. As a result, the national inspection volumes of 78.9 million cartons slightly exceeded the upper limit of the crop estimate.
