The South African Table Grape Industry serves the most discerning markets all over the world for over 125 years. It has 5 diverse growing regions, an abundance of sunshine, beautiful landscapes (biodiversity—fauna & flora) and is well known for superior quality table grapes.
Our industry has mostly family owned farms and businesses, who have been farming for many generations.
South Africa has a varietal spread, that is predominantly seedless (92%) with mostly new generation varieties. We focus on Technology (cold chain management, stem condition etc.) with the ability to produce and ship on specification.
We focus on food safety, quality, traceability as well as environmental, ethical and fair labour practices. This is regularly audited and proven with all South African table grape farms and packhouses adhering to local and international audit standards and certification.
